SUNY Canton admits students on a rolling basis; however, priority consideration allows for timely notification of admissions status, as well as scholarship consideration.

The priority deadline for Fall Admission is April 1st. However, since FAFSA is now available for submission on October 1st, we are encouraging students to apply by December 15th.

The priority deadline for Spring Admission is November 1st. However, we will accept applications up until the start of the semester in cases where there is adequate course selection for the student and capacity in the program.

Some programs are selective and have a separate application deadline. The Nursing, AAS, Nursing Dual Degree, AAS/BSN, Licensed Practical Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant, AAS, Veterinary Science Technology, AAS, and Veterinary Technology, BS programs, are all considered to be selective.

Students applying for a Selective Program are strongly encouraged to apply for Fall Admission by February 1st, as there are limited seats available in each program. Priority consideration will be given to those that apply before the preferred deadline.
