Pearman Nets Game-Winner In 2-1 Win Over Erie
(Canton, N.Y.)- Mike Pearman (Anaheim, Calif.) scored 1:36 into the
third period lifting the SUNY Canton men's ice hockey team past Erie
Community College 2-1 Saturday afternoon at the Canton Pavilion. The
Roos improved to 9-5-2 in Region III and 14-8-2 overall while the Kats
dropped to 5-10-2 and 8-11-2 overall.
Both teams traded goals in the first two periods.
The Roos struck first at the 14:44 mark of the first period when Dylan Gronowski (Buffalo, N.Y.) scored from Kevin O'Connell (Cadyville, N.Y.). The Kats tied the game at the 9:31 mark of the second period on a goal from Jacob Ciulla.
Pearman then gave the Roos the lead for good with his second game-winning goal of the year off assists from O'Connell and Garrett Rosenbaum (Charleston, S.C.).
Jimmy Merrow (Plainsboro, N.J.) stopped 20 of 21 shots he faced for SUNY Canton.
Adam Palumbo had 26 saves for Erie.
