FSAID Creation for individuals without Social Security Numbers - Update

The US Department of Education is making critical improvements to the studentaid.gov account creation process for those without Social Security Numbers by automating much of the process and expanding call center staff. It has also created a listserv for students and families impacted by these issues to sign-up for regular updates on the FAFSA.
To sign up for the listserv go to FAFSA Contributor Updates and sign up or by sending an email to FAFSAContributorUpdates@ed.gov asking to be added to the list.
