Fraud Examination

The Fraud Examination Minor is attractive to students who wish to pursue a career in civil or criminal fraud investigation and white-collar crime investigations in the public or private sector. This program provides students, particularly those in baccalaureate degree programs in Management, Finance, Legal Studies, Criminal Investigations and Criminal Justice: Law Enforcement Leadership, an opportunity to develop a degree concentration in fraud examination.

* 9 credits of minor coursework must be at the upper-division level

Students majoring in criminal justice should take ACCT 101 or ACCT 104 as a prerequisite for ACCT 245. Students majoring in management or finance should take JUST 101 as a prerequisite for JUST 110.

Students majoring in Finance should be aware that ACCT 245 cannot satisfy BOTH an elective in the FSMA degree plan and the required course for this minor. ACCT 245 can only be used for one track.
