Discounts for SUNY Canton Employees

Members of the SUNY family may be eligible for group discounts and offers from a variety of vendors, merchants, and providers. SUNY Canton understands the proper balance between meaningful work experience and time for family, friends and self.

The following information outlines SUNY’s discount program and can help you make the most of your time and effort.

Formerly known as "SUNY Perks" and "Corporate Perks", this is an online discount program with offers from a wide variety of nationally recognized merchants, vendors, and providers in many categories including electronics, toys, apparel, flowers & gifts, and home. Each purchase earns "WOW Points", which can be used towards future purchases. Membership is free to members of the SUNY family. To join, use either "SUNY2015" or "sunycp" as the access code. Register on the Perks at Work web site with your email address and the access code.

On Campus

• Fitness Center
  
  The Roos House Fitness Center offers all faculty and staff a discounted yearly membership fee of $45.50 a year, which includes immediate family members (those classified as dependents) for no additional fee. Beyond the steep discount on a membership, which is normally $310 a year per individual or $400 for family, the access to amenities offered at the Roos House for a membership extend beyond the fitness center. A faculty/staff membership also provides swimming pool and field house access for the yearly plan as well.   • To purchase a Connections plan, contact Melissa Duprey – MCC 130 or call x7210. Pay by cash, check or debit/credit card in the months of September and February. Funds are available immediately upon payment.

Insurance

• AFLAC
  Aflac is voluntary supplemental insurance that helps with expenses that health insurance doesn’t cover. Accident, Cancer/Specified-Disease, Hospital Confinement Indemnity, and Short-Term Disability.  All SUNY employees can now take advantage of these policies. Available AFLAC employee benefits can be found at www.aflac.com.
