Description of Duties
The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton is seeking adjunct clinical instructors to teach in the clinical setting for the pre-licensure nursing programs. Clinical experiences are at area hospitals, long term care facilities, and health care facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical instruction using criterion referenced methods of evaluation; collaboration on course content, implementation, and evaluation; maintain an effective relationship with clinical sites.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Master’s degree in Nursing or progress towards completion of a Master’s degree in nursing required to be hired for a second semester. Must possess a valid, unencumbered RN license in New York State, and the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS for Adults, Infant, and Child.
Preferred: Candidates will have two or more years of experience in clinical nursing practice and prior teaching experience.
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
