Description of Duties
The Social Sciences Department under the School of Business and Liberal Arts at SUNY Canton seeks applicants for part-time on campus and online adjunct instruction in Early Childhood. Candidates may be considered for the fall and spring semesters and summer and winter terms.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidates will teach 100 - 400 level courses on-campus or online for the A.S. in Early Childhood and the B.B.A. in Early Childhood Care and Management Degree Programs. Courses are listed at Early Childhood Care and Management - Program Description.
Qualifications
Required: Master’s degree in discipline and experience working in the field of early care and education specifically with children ages infancy – age 5. Knowledge of NYS Office for Children Regulations and/or state child care licensing, and NAEYC Professional Preparation Standards.
Preferred: Candidates with on-campus and online teaching experience.
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
