Description of Duties
Canton College Foundation seeks a detail-oriented and organized individual with exceptional accounting, customer service and data management skills to join our dynamic non-profit organization serving SUNY Canton.
Responsibilities
- Gift processing, donor acknowledgement and accounts receivable.
- Accounts payable.
- Faculty/staff awards, Campus Enhancement awards and departmental purchasing.
- Payroll/HR.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- One to three years of accounting experience.
- General comfort and proficiency in various software systems.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel as well as stand-alone accounting software systems.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- Experience with enterprise data management systems.
- Previous experience working in Higher Education.
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
