Description of Duties
The State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton and the Center for Criminal Justice, Intelligence & Cybersecurity invites qualified applicants for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor position in Criminal Justice beginning August 2023.
Responsibilities
Faculty will be expected to engage and be proficient in online course delivery, program and curriculum development and assessment, academic mentoring, scholarly activities, and institutional service. Online and in-person teaching is expected with the ability to teach hands-on, applied courses.
Qualifications
Ph.D. or other terminal degree in related field. ABD status in a terminal degree program meets requirements for Instructor rank. Related professional experience required. Applicants holding a J.D may apply if there is also professional experience related to the applied focus of the position.
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
