University Police; 40 hrs/week; Rotating Shifts

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Preference in appointment will be given to individuals on redeployment, transfer,  preferred, reemployment or placement lists for University Police Officer 2.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Per Classification Standards
  • Must be currently on the competitive Civil Service List for Police Officer 2 to apply.

HOW TO APPLY:

External Candidates, who currently hold the title of University Police Officer 2 at another state facility, should submit a completed classified service employment application form and summary of related work experience and submit to hr@canton.edu.

Internal Candidates should submit an application for promotion or reassignment to the Director of Human Resources at hr@canton.edu on or before the announced deadline.

The best qualified candidates will be invited for a personal interview.

Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.
