Mission
The principal mission of the International Programs Office is to provide quality support for incoming and outgoing students in the venture of international education. The office supports the university’s efforts for globalization by implementing strategic initiatives. It is a top priority to inform and educate our international students and the SUNY Canton community of the governing regulations pertaining to their enrollment.
We aim to orient students to a new country, culture and community through integration events and initiatives. It is important to us to foster responsible global citizens and effective world leaders through on campus global awareness events and off campus international opportunities. Our mission is inclusive of the campus community at large by cultivating unique experiences for faculty and students to participate in education abroad and multicultural immersion.
