Jaden Muniz

Jaden Muniz of New York City came to SUNY Canton in search of freedom, independence, and growth while pursuing his love of animals. While here, he’s developed a support network of friends, colleagues, educators, and his fraternity brothers.
“I’ve always loved animals growing up, and I know how much they can mean to us,” he said. “I want to be able to say I’ve made a difference in this world, and I will accomplish that by helping people help the animals they love and care so much for.”
He said he’s established excellent relationships with several SUNY Canton faculty and staff members. “My favorite has to be Chelsea DeGroat, the Assistant Director of Greek Affairs and Student Engagement,” he said. “Chelsea has become a dependable staff member I can always count on, and as a student, she has offered me tremendous support in achieving my personal goals.”
Jaden is the President of Gamma Sigma Zeta Fraternity Inc., Vice President of Brother 2 Brother Club, the Event Planner of the Greek Council, a Peer Mentor for the Trio Office, a Student Assistant for the Counseling Center, and will also be joining the Student Ambassadors Staff next semester.
“Since joining Gamma Sigma Zeta Fraternity Inc., I’ve found myself surrounded by a brotherhood grounded in unwavering support, courage, and shared purpose,” he said. “This experience has given me opportunities to build lasting connections with remarkable individuals, all while enhancing my interpersonal skills. My favorite part has been giving back to the community in meaningful ways."
Jaden is a Veterinary Technology major who plans to graduate in 2027.
