As President of the College Activities Board (CAB), Chastity Wardell of Keeseville helped organize the highly anticipated BBNO$ concert scheduled for Saturday, March 29, in the Roos House.
I’m over the moon happy to learn how a concert is run,” she said. “I want students to leave feeling like they had an amazing time.”
Chastity credits the Student Activities Involvement and Leadership Office for pushing her into leadership roles. “They encouraged me to step up, and I’m so glad they did,” she said. “I started as a weeknight chair programmer, and now I’m leading CAB.”
Chastity also serves on the Student Government Association Executive Board.
She originally came to SUNY Canton for the Veterinary Technology program and later realized Applied Psychology was a better fit. “I wanted to help others, especially veterans,” she said. “I have family members who served, and I’ve seen how much more support they deserve.”
She enjoys hands-on projects like writing and acting out client-helper dialogue. Her favorite class, Group Therapy (HUSV 325), has deepened her understanding of the field. She also values the supportive campus community, especially Student Mailroom Clerk Steven Murray.
After graduation in Fall 2025, she plans to continue her education and pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology to work with veterans. “SUNY Canton gave me the confidence to lead, network, and follow my passion,” she said. “I’m excited to see where this journey takes me next.”
