Marissa Massey
Marissa Massey of Watertown is a senior student in the Funeral Service Administration program. She said her classes have allowed her to discover her passion for helping people.
“My favorite class is Human Responses to Death because it allowed me to gain further knowledge about dealing with families during a very difficult time in their life,” she said.
Marissa chose SUNY Canton because it is the only four-year degree program of its kind available in the State.
In addition to her classes, Marissa has been actively involved in several student organizations on campus, including the Pi Sigma Eta Honor Society and the Mortuary Science Association.
After graduation, Marissa has a clear goal: to work at a funeral home and gain practical experience in the field. Her ultimate aspiration is to own her own funeral home where she can provide exceptional services and support to families during their most difficult times.
