Internal Control Act of 1987
The Internal Control Act of 1987 requires all State agencies, by April 1, 1989, to establish and maintain operating policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, and employee handbooks and to develop methods to ensure that all employees adhere to their provisions.
The law also requires each campus to appoint an Internal Control Officer responsible for insuring that its internal controls are functioning properly. The SUNY Canton Internal Control Officer is designated by the Vice President for Administration.
