Suspension or Dismissal of a Student for Non-Academic Reasons
[As discussed in The SUNY Board of Trustees Rules for the Maintenance of Public Order (9f)]
Temporary suspension from all or part of the institution’s premises or facilities may be ordered by the Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students or designee for a non-academic reason where the conduct of the student has been unlawful or in violation of rules and regulations of SUNY Canton, or in the event that a student who has been accused of a violation fails to respond to the Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students or designee when asked to do so. The Vice President for Student Affairs/Dean of Students or designee shall grant a hearing as soon as possible on request of any student so removed with respect to the basis of the action.
