Single Rooms

SUNY Canton is excited to announce the reopening of Smith Hall for 2023-24! This reopening will allow us to now offer single rooms to the majority of our students for the 2023-24 academic year!

Double occupancy rooms will still be available but we now have adequate space for the majority of students to be in their own room without a roommate. This could be a single room in one of the traditional dorm buildings, or a single bedroom within a suite in Kennedy Hall.

These single rooms will be available to current students as well as incoming freshmen and transfer students. Single room preference for new freshmen and transfer students will be based on housing application date—students who apply earlier will be more likely to receive a single room.
