Freedom of Information Law (FOIL)

The Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) (Article 6, §84-90 of the New Your State Public Officers Law) provides citizens the right to access records maintained by government agencies, including SUNY Canton, with certain exceptions. For requests of a large magnitude, copies that cannot be made digitally may be provided to the requestor at a charge of $0.25 per page. Payment must be received before copies will be released.


