Placement Testing

SUNY Canton uses Meazure Learning for Accuplacer Placement Tests to ensure accurate placement in English and Math courses. Incoming students who are required to complete a placement test will be notified via their SUNY Canton Email address.

All placement tests must be completed before your advising appointment to ensure you receive a correct schedule. Details for scheduling Advising appointments can be found on your New Student Checklist in UCanWeb.

If you are a transfer student and have earned a C or better in a Freshman composition course, your transcript must be on file in the Admissions Office (admissions@canton.edu or 315-386-7123) to be exempt from testing.

Measure Learning Placement Testing Information

SUNY Canton is excited to work with Meazure Learning to administer placement testing.

Testing through Meazure Learning offers the placement testing when most convenient for you, including nights and weekends. SUNY Canton is paying the Meazure testing fee for the time being.

For more information about Meazure Learning and having your placement exams administered virtually, please visit the Meazure Learning website. You will be required to have a laptop, Chromebook or desktop PC with working webcam and microphone. No tablets or smartphones are permitted for placement testing.
