Direct Support Professional - DSP III
The Direct Support Professional program offers fully-funded training, including tuition, books, and materials through an OPWDD grant. Earn a SUNY Canton DSP III microcredential and NADSP certifications with the opportunity for a $750 incentive at the completion of the program.
What You'll Learn
The Direct Support Professional III (DSP III) microcredential is the highest level of credential demonstrating a deep commitment to the people they support. They will learn the importance of empowerment & advocacy, address community living skills, identify various cultural competencies and emerge with education, training and self-development within the field. Students will be able to fulfill the 50 hours of educational requirements for completion of the National Alliance of Direct Support Professional DSP III accreditation. This microcredential can only be completed if DSP I and DSP II have been successfully achieved.
