Liberal Arts Program Mission

The Liberal Arts Program provides a broad education in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. Our program is designed to advance critical thinking and problem-solving skills, to cultivate intellectual curiosity and flexibility, and to foster an awareness and appreciation of the ethical and value-laden dimensions of human behavior in all its diversity. In exposing students to the complex and interrelated ways people have made the social and physical world intelligible, we strive for informed and engaged graduates, prepared for responsible citizenry and social responsibility.
