The Career Ready Education and Success Training (CREST) Center will be holding an Open house for its new commercial driver’s license training program from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 in Halford Hall.

The event is free and open to the public and is designed for community members who are interested in starting a lucrative driving career by earning a CDL-A license.

“There is a high need for drivers locally and nationwide,” said Arthur S. Garno, CREST Center Director. “We’ve developed a local certificate training program to help prepare individuals for this stable, well-paying career.”

Guests will have the opportunity to tour the college’s training truck and learn about the many benefits of local or long-distance driving.

Those interested in joining the CDL-A training program can also contact the SUNY Canton CREST Center by phone, 315-386-7197, or email crest@canton.edu.
