SUNY Canton Earns High Marks for Affordability and Quality

A number of college ranking websites have chosen SUNY Canton degrees as the best in the state and country for academic quality and value.

RNtoMSN.org has named the college’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing as the most affordable program of its kind in the state. The website noted it was also an excellent value for out-of-state students, due to its fully online option. Graduates of the program have the opportunity to transfer to SUNY Upstate Medical University’s College of Nursing graduate programs.

The Edvocate included the Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies in their 2022 list of the best legal studies programs in the country. The organization applauded the degree’s ability to prepare graduates for an array of job fields, as well as the incorporation of classes that expose learners to the business aspects of law practice. In addition, the college has an agreement with the University of Buffalo (UB) School of Law that allows Legal Studies students to earn a bachelor’s degree at SUNY Canton and a law degree at UB in just six years instead of seven, saving a year’s worth of tuition.

A recent ranking announcement from the Bachelor’s Degree Center named the college’s Bachelor of Business Administration in Agribusiness as one of the best online ag degrees in the nation.

"Farming is a lot more sophisticated than it was 50 years ago,” the editors at Bachelor’s Degree Center said in a press release about the ranking. “A degree in agriculture can offer graduates a wealth of opportunities beyond farming, from food science to biochemistry.”

Study.com named two SUNY Canton online programs among the best in the U.S. They ranked the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance number two in the country, beating out prestigious institutions such as Texas A&M and the University of Minnesota, and the Bachelor of Technology in Graphic and Multimedia Design as 23rd in the nation.

The website noted the Finance degree’s accreditation by the International Accreditation Council for Business Education, as well as the opportunity for students to complete internships and other field experience.

Students in the Graphic and Multimedia Design program will receive instruction in a number of areas, such as 3-D design, web publishing, digital design, video game design and video production from award-winning faculty.
