SUNY Canton SBDC holds Workers Compensation and Labor Laws Workshops Nov. 5 and 6
North Country employers will have the chance to learn about workers’ compensation and New York State Department of Labor services at workshops hosted by the SUNY Canton Small Business Development Center. Titled “Workers’ Compensation and Labor Laws: Is Your Business in Compliance?” the workshops will feature Anthony Tomaselli of the Workers’ Compensation Board and Orville Abrahams of the Department of Labor to speak about the services their agencies provide for small businesses and how to utilize them best.
Two workshop dates are planned, and people will have the option to attend in person or via Zoom. The first session will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at the Saranac Lake Free Library, 109 Main Street in Saranac Lake. The second session will be from 10 a.m. to Noon on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the St. Lawrence County IDA, 19 Commerce Lane in Canton.
