SUNY Canton to Cover Application Fees for Fall 2026 Visitors
SUNY Canton is covering application fee costs for prospective students who take an individual tour or attend an on-campus or virtual event this fall.
“This initiative is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to those who take the time to consider us in their future academic plans,” said Executive Director of Enrollment Melissa J. Evans. “Students who visit or attend a virtual event and subsequently apply for any 2027 start term will receive a code that covers the $50 application fee.”
The college has informational events in a variety of formats scheduled over the next several months:
Open Houses
Two traditional open houses will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 and Saturday, Nov. 14. These comprehensive events offer guests the opportunity to speak with faculty, take tours and learn about academic programs. Complimentary lunch will be provided. Drop-In Days
Drop-In Days are evening virtual appointments for those who want to learn more about the college’s academic offerings. These are open to anyone at any stage of life and in the college search process. The next Drop-In Days are scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16 to Thursday, Nov. 19. To register, visit the Drop-In Days website.
Saturday Visit Day
A Saturday Visit Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5. This condensed event is designed for those who want to learn about application steps and student life. Tours led by current students will be available. Registration is appreciated, but not required.
Extended Virtual Hours
The Admissions Office hosts extended virtual hours every Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Those interested in learning more about the campus and discussing college plans can sign up to speak one-on-one with an admissions counselor by signing up at Extended Virtual Hours webpage.
Individual Visits
