NFL Leaders to Discuss Women in Sports at SUNY Canton on March 19

An evening discussing Women in Sports will feature Green Bay Packers Vice President of Marketing and Fan Engagement Gabrielle Valdez Dow and Jacksonville Jaguars Senior Director of Marketing Brette Sadler at SUNY Canton. The event is open to the public and will be held in the college’s Kingston Theater at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 19. Valdez Dow and Sadler’s careers have included working in the NFL, UFC, NHL and the entertainment industry.

“Gabrielle and Brette are remarkably successful professionals who have done so in male dominated environments throughout their careers,” SUNY Canton Athletic Director Randy Sieminski said. “They are highly respected throughout the sports industry, and we are honored they are coming to speak with our students and community. This will be a special evening, particularly for our students who plan to work in sports and athletics.”

Sadler, who has been with the Jaguars for nearly two years, previously spent over seven years in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) as the organization’s Vice President of Global Partnership Activation. She started her career in professional sports with the NHL’s Florida Panthers as the team’s Senior Director of Marketing Partnerships. She was also the Founder and President of WISE (Women in Sports and Events, Inc.) in Las Vegas for more than six years.

Valdez Dow has been with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers for nearly 12 years. She was also the Vice President of Marketing for the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens for almost eight years. Her first professional sports team was the NHL’s Florida Panthers where she was the team’s Senior Marketing Director. Sadler, Valdez Dow and Sieminski all worked together for the Panthers.
