About the Data Science and Analytics Program
Data Science Students can Expect
- To apply statistical and computational techniques to analyze and interpret large and complex datasets, drawing meaningful insights and making data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in data collection, cleaning, storage, and management using various tools and technologies, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models and algorithms to predict outcomes and automate decision-making processes.
- Learn programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
- Develop software solutions and applications tailored to data science problems.
- Apply an understanding of the ethical implications of data usage, including issues related to privacy, bias, and transparency.
Online Advantages
The Data Science and Analytics program can be taken entirely online. Students don't have to be on campus or travel to take classes during set hours. This allows flexibility for non-traditional students who may work or have other barriers to attending college classes. Students can participate at any hour and from anywhere. Course materials are delivered remotely, including lectures recorded by professors, and includes an easy-to-use mobile app.
Students will engage in hands-on projects, developing AI models and applying machine learning algorithms to solve real-world problems across various sectors. The coursework emphasizes practical skills in big data analytics, preparing graduates for the exponential growth and opportunities within the field.
