Data Science and Analytics - Student Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Data Science and Analytics - B.S. degree program, the student will:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Graduates will be able to apply statistical and computational techniques to analyze and interpret large and complex datasets, drawing meaningful insights and making data-driven decisions.
  • Data Management and Engineering: Graduates will be proficient in data collection, cleaning, storage, and management using various tools and technologies, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Machine Learning and Predictive Modeling: Graduates will have the ability to design, implement, and evaluate machine learning models and algorithms to predict outcomes and automate decision-making processes.
  • Programming and Software Development: Graduates will be skilled in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, and will be able to develop software solutions and applications tailored to data science problems.
  • Ethical and Responsible Data Use: Graduates will apply their understanding of the ethical implications of data usage, including issues related to privacy, bias, and transparency, and will adhere to ethical standards and best practices in their professional conduct.
