Prospective Tutors

Tutoring Services hires students and professionals to provide tutoring in the Tutoring Center. If you enjoy helping others, would like to learn new study strategies, and want to work in an environment that is fun and rewarding then tutoring might be for you! Tutoring is a great way to get connected on campus and it offers great work experience! Our training program has national certification through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) and tutors who successfully complete the training are given certification which is a distinction that can be carried with them beyond SUNY Canton.

The Betty J. Evans Tutoring Center provides free tutoring services to any student enrolled in course(s) at SUNY Canton. We hold high selection criteria for our tutors; please see our tutor application below to review the eligibility requirements for becoming a tutor.
