NYS Part-Time Tuition Assistance for Non-Degree Credentials
The new TAP program is for non-matriculated students attending part-time. SUNY Canton is proud to offer the follow academic opportunities as part of this program:

Eligibility Requirements

Dependent undergraduate students or Independent students who are married and have tax dependents, or Independent students who are unmarried and have tax dependents, or beginning with the 2014-15 academic year, students who qualify as an orphan, foster child or ward of the court. | $80,000 |
Independent undergraduate students who are married and have no other tax dependents | $40,000 |
Single independent undergraduate students with no tax dependents | $10,000 |
If you believe you earn less than the amount listed in the criteria above, you may be able to apply for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) to partially cover the cost of your tuition for this program.
If you later enroll in a degree program at SUNY, this course will transfer for credit.
Apply for the 2023-24 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) today and link directly from your FAFSA summary page to complete the 2023-24 NYS TAP application.
Also, please note that you have a lifetime of eight semesters of TAP. These will be pro-rated for the number of credits you earn, but this will use a portion of your lifetime TAP eligibility.
