SUNY Canton Resumes In-Person Open Houses this Fall
SUNY Canton is returning to its traditional in-person fall open house format.
The college will host three Saturday events from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23, Oct. 30 and Nov. 13. Prospective students and families can take a tour, meet with faculty, and speak with admissions and financial aid representatives.
“We are excited to show visitors the incredible new facilities on campus and talk about our recently developed programs,” said Executive Director of Enrollment Melissa J. Evans. “The renovated Dana Hall and the popular residential Esports Wing are both a must-see.”
Dana Hall reopened this fall and is home to the Center for Criminal Justice, Intelligence and Cybersecurity. The $10 million investment includes state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories and other learning spaces. The Esports Wing is also new this semester and is a one-of-a-kind living environment for students who are interested in competitive video gaming.
Visitors can also learn about more than 50 degrees, including new programs in Forensic Criminology, Cybersecurity, Esports Management, and Crime Analysis.
Evans noted that the open houses will consist of small tour groups and staggered appointments to reduce density. All visitors are required to wear a mask and are encouraged to register in advance.
