No, TRiO participation doesn’t appear on your academic transcript

TRiO is for any eligible student who wants extra support – you don’t need to be behind to apply.

You need to be enrolled or accepted at SUNY Canton and meet at least one of: first-generation college student, income-eligible, or have a documented disability. Not sure? Apply anyway – staff will confirm during the review process.

Yes – you can apply at any point during your time at SUNY Canton, not just as an incoming student.

Yes, for incoming TRiO students, during your first semester. It’s offered both in person and online.

No, it’s optional – for incoming students who placed into MATH 100 and want a path to test directly into MATH 106 instead.

It’s required for incoming freshmen and optional for sophomores. Sophomores can request one anytime by contacting the TRiO office.

A national honor society for TRiO students who meet certain academic and developmental standards – a real credential for your resume or grad school applications.
